Congratulations to our latest winner: Ken Welte, a sales associate with Sutton Group - West Coast Realty in Nanaimo.
Ken joined the Air Cadets as a teenager, became a small craft pilot and began volunteering with the Nanaimo squadron when he was in his early 20s. For the past 24 years, Ken has shared his passion for aviation by providing classroom instruction, participating at events such as COPA for Kids, and guiding Air Cadets on hikes. Ken is certified in Wilderness First Aid and he completed Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) training last year to become a volunteer member of Ladysmith’s Search and Rescue team.
Consider the rewards of getting involved in your community, especially this season. Many people are struggling to stay warm and fed; you and your office can make a difference by holding a clothing or food drive. Short on time? Volunteer for a shift at a food bank or become an event sponsor. If you own a friendly dog, it can bring a smile to people in hospitals and care facilities. Whatever your interest and contribution, we want to celebrate your Sutton Spirit and so should you!
